I found this video from Australian junior cricket coach Mike Pawley who shows you how to choose a good cricket bat. What to look out for and how much you need to spend to get a good bat that will hit the ball further.

I know when I bought my bat it took me ages to choose, you just cnt tell how they are going to play until you start, but in the end I made a pretty good choice. I am looking at some new bats now for next season; the Newbery bats look nice,  but I still looking. I will do a review on my bat when I get it so look out for that.

How to “Knock – in” a cricket bat. Presented by Stuart Kransbueler, Head bat maker of Gray – Nicholls Australia.

I found this video when I was searching You tube for good vids on how to play cricket.

Cricket bats are so expensive these days,it pays to look after them, and knocking in the bat is the best way to make sure you dont wreck your bat first time out. Mind you I have a Gray Nicholls, and even though I spent hours knocking it in with a wooden mallet, it still split the first time I used it against a “proper”  bowler The shop I bought it from, Talent Cricket were great though, they repaired it and it is now good as new.
